Instrument required to organize a collection, do inventory and write the indexes of the files stored within an archive.
Organizational instrument used as search tool in the current archive. It is composed by movable cards in which the items of the archive are organized in alphabetical order. The heading and the card index have the same functions, the only difference is the way those functions are implemented.
The administrative district in which a province was subdivided until 1927. The documents drafted by the competent recruitment offices identify the administrative circumscription of the prefectures or sub-prefectures. It can also be understood as a neighboring territory of a city or a town.
