On Saturday 9 October and Sunday 10 October, on the occasion of the Sunday of Paper event, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the State Archives of Prato will be holding the second edition of THE IMPORTANCE OF ROOTS. Caring for children in difficulty in Prato, from the Middle Ages to today“. UA source for the history of the family and the history of the Prato community. For a history made of memory, ties woven in secret, of roots extended into the ground, which deserve to be listened to by the soul.
The event, in collaboration with the Fostering Centre SDS Prato Area and realised for the Month of Family Fostering, is divided into guided tours dedicated to the documents of the Misericordia e Dolce Hospital fund, produced by the Hospital in its activity of caring for abandoned children and children in difficulty, with case studies and testimonies on the experience of family fostering today.
Access to the Archives is by appointment and with a green pass.
